Paris has provided one of the most beautiful memories for my daughters. The artistry was extremely well thought out and the sisterhood amongst the young ladies could be felt. My daughters never stopped talking about this event and I would sign up in a heartbeat for any future events by Paris!

I was asked to participate in an event for young girls led by Paris Samone. I performed a few poems and talked about my experiences as a Black woman. Paris engaged the girls, and guests, in a head-wrapping workshop, a waistbead adornment ceremony, and a discussion around girlhood and womanhood. Even as a guest speaker, the experience was one-of-a-kind and has stuck with me since.
Paris is a beaming light and a tender force when it comes to empowering Black girls and creating a safe, spiritual environment to learn from one another and be vulnerable in community as women. Her talents as a multidisciplinary, visual artist made the experience even more comforting and inviting of creative ideas and perspectives. Truly an impactful, inspiring experience.

The workshop I attended curated by Paris Samone was filled with engaging, confidence building activities rich with grounding techniques, affirmations and even relationship building skills. She invited myself and two other artists to give testimony of our journey, create with and perform for young girls in Baltimore City.
We learned how to wrap our crowns with authentic African fabrics, we wrote poetry together, and some of the young ladies who attended were brave enough to perform.
We ended the day with a photoshoot inside, with a backdrop and outside in a garden. To say the least I had a transformative time and I'm looking forward to being invited back!

Paris was an essential resource for introducing my children to the Arts. From the exposure of creating and decorating cakes (some of the most delicious masterpieces) to exploring modeling in a bright and cherry sunflower garden to also being a canvas for kid-friendly henna; the experiences created ever-lasting memories for my daughters. Paris always provided a caring, loving, safe and learning environment . Her charismatic personality for children is admirable and inspiring. We cannot wait to see her continuous contributions to the communities of Baltimore.
